Arrive in South Africa

I have arrived in my next destination, the African continent. The first country as part of this tour is The Republic of South Africa.

South Africa is a rainbow nation, an African economic powerhouse with the most progressive democracy in the world. It boasts high quality and globally competitive education, obtainable at a very low fee due to the low exchange rate. It also has major research centers focusing on indigenous and advanced technologies. South Africa has a large higher education system comprising 21 universities, l5 Technikons (Universities of Technology), 50 Teachers Training Colleges and scores of Agricultural and Nursing Colleges.

Since 1994 the South African tertiary education sector has undergone major transformation and restructuring process geared to meet the higher education needs of the 21st century. At the same time, South Africa is becoming the continental leader in the provision of high quality tertiary education relevant to the demands of rapidly globalization and competitive information-driven world.

I would be visiting the top six university of Africa here, namely the University of Cape Town, The Rhodes University, Stellebosch University, University of Pretoria, University of Witwatersrand, University of Western Cape, The University of South Africa and The University of Kwazulu Natal.
